This week, we’re off to Taipei for Computex 2021!

Well, OK, maybe not. Nobody is, because it’s totally virtual, but that didn’t stop the big players in hard tech from unleashing new processors, software and more, and we’re delving into the details that will drive computing in the future. Alex also wrote about the big tech stories at Computex, which you can read here.

In Adam’s home state of Victoria, there are significant moves afoot that will affect Australian takeup of Electric Vehicles… but not in a good way. We consider why Australians haven’t taken to EVs, and what should be done as Alex readies himself for his first EV and Adam wonders how he can afford one.

Finally, our soup du jour is back on the menu, as NBN Co’s booking system is driving its telco partners to distraction, with thousands unable to book connections or repairs. The NBN might be “done”, but how can it possibly be finished properly?

Joining us this week is Angus Kidman, Editor in Chief at Finder.
